TOP TIPS ON SAVING PHONE BATTERY LIFE

Charging your phone several times throughout one day can become tiresome for many of us. 

Syn-Star has listed some simple and small suggestions on what you can do to make your phone’s battery life last longer…

  1. Dim the brightness of your screen

This simple step can help increase the length of battery life your phone provides. Many people have the brightness lighter than necessary. By using an auto brightness setting on your phone, the screen adjusts to the light and time of day in which you are using the device. This may save power.

  1. Keep the screen timeout short

The number of times in which people leave their phone screen on when it isn’t required has an impact on battery life. By keeping your screen timeout short, you extend the time in which your battery power will last substantially.

  1. Close apps when they are not in use – including in the background

When you think you have closed an app, it is worth double-checking they are not appearing in the background; some apps remain operational even when they are not being used.

  1. Enable power saving mode

Power saving mode is your friend! Use it.

  1. Turn off notifications which aren’t essential

Do you really need to receive those endless social media notifications throughout the day when you are at work, or are you really that interested in breaking news stories?
Have your notifications switched on for only what really matters to you.

  1. Do not use vibrate

Vibrate uses an incredible amount of power. By switching it off for things such as your ringtone and alarm, lesser amounts of battery energy will be consumed.

  1. Limit the amount you use GPS and location service apps

Think about it – apps which require to know where you are located are continually using power. By switching these off you will have a great amount of power allowing you to use your phone for many other productive reasons.

  1. Turn off Wi-Fi

Your Wi-Fi is designed to always seek an internet connection – even when you are using your data. By turning off your Wi-Fi you may increase the time in which you phones battery will last.

  1. Turn off Bluetooth

Millions of people now use Bluetooth on their phone for hands free – especially when driving or connecting your phone to a smart speaker. Nonetheless, this isn’t something your phone will be doing all the time, so it is good practice to turn it off when not in use. That’s if you really are that concerned about battery life!
